Any Reason It Wont Work?

Is there any ways this wont work... I have a old garden hose, a normal gravel vac, and 1/2" tube to garden hose adapter, faucet to garden hose adapter and $8. If I bought a faucet "pump" (the T thing that comes with a python) is there any reason I cant make my own python? I mean hook the faucet adapter to the faucet and that to the Faucet pump. Hook that to the hose, the hose to the tubing adapter, and that adapter to my old siphon. It should work right? I sent boiling water through the hose, so it should be clean and sterile. Will this work as planed. I mean its identical to those $50 pythons expect using actual garden hose rather than clear tubing. Right... I mean if I can make a $50 thing for $8 and used parts, ill do it.

cant think why it wouldnt, but try it anyway, hope it does,will save a lot of people a lot of money
