UK voltage is 230V. Current = Power/Voltage so anything less than a power of about 600W would use a 3A fuse. Your filter will certianly be much less than 600W (more like 5/10W max I guess) so a 3A fuse is needed.
If you have any 1A fuses that fit the standard plug then that would be even better but you'd be quite safe with a 3A.
