my 10 gallon tank? i have 1 in there already, there were alot more, like 5 but they doed, and he has a catfish. is it to small for others? hes a commen goldfish
I'd only put a single fancy (like a fantail) in a 10 gallon and even then it would eventually outgrow the tank. 20 gallon minimum is what fancy Golds need and the more common and streamlined ones like Comets need more like 100-200 minimum.
What species of Catfish? You should allow roughly 10g for every Goldfish, obviously this needs to be moderated when considering Comets etc. But this 10g rule applies once the tank is of a minimum of 20g which can hold one Goldfish and so on.........Your tank as mentioned above could hold one Fancy for a while but it would outgrow the tank.
