Moved the harlequins and black neons over to the 27gal tank, as they were getting bored, and moved my 3 panda corys to the 12 gal, don't no what to put with them, as i'm abit tired of tetra's as i have them in the 27gal, no livebearers given up on them, no neon tetra's either, something small any ideas, thanks.

There's a fair amount of killifish that can be kept in a 12G, most of them having stunning colours as well. And if you're really up for a challange, you can always try and spawn them as well :p

Have a look in the oddball section for more information (though, you'll probably have to ask). Some killifish (just a small group of them) can be found here: African Killifish

I've got quite fond of my sparkling gouramies.

Just being looking a dwarf gouramis never kept them, how many can you keep, i think it two does it have to be a male and female.

I have 1 Dwarf Gourami male, he's powderblue and always active and visible. He's also very friendly to me, he comes up and spits water at me when I open the tank! Sylvia advised to only keep a male on its own in a small tank, apparently they harrass the females.
I also have 3 Sparkling Gourami in there with him. They are very tiny - only about an inch and always look quite plain when you see them at the lfs but when they settle into the tank they really do sparkle. They are quite shy compared to the dwarf but I really do love my gourami tank and its only a small tank - 10 UK gallons.

How about a trio of honey gouramis; I believe they are a bit more peaceful than dwarfs.

Or, if you want a challenge, why not dwarf puffers? Never kept them myself, so can't vouch for this, but I seem to remember having heard that you can keep more than one in a 10 gallon tank.

I believe that the general rule is one per 5 gallons, and I don't think that its a good idea to stretch that limit. I've heard they're quit mean though, so it would have to be a species tank.

I think if the tank is heavily planted you could keep 2 in the 12 gallon. But theres always a risk one might kill the other. You couldn't keep corys with them though.

Are Rams too agressive in that size tank? I like Blue Rams.

Yeah I wouldn't really go for the dwarf guaramis... however you spell that. I had two in a ten gallon and they died. :( then I got two more and /those/ died! Yeeeahhh... just don't bother with those...

Mollies are nice... :)

gOLD GOURAMIS OR MOST ANY KIND OF GOURAMI WOUDL BE PEACEFUL ADN ABLE TO LIVE WITH THE CORIES. bUT TWO IS PLENTY FOR THAT SIZE TANK AS THEY CAN GET UP TO 4 INCHES I HAVE A BLUE WHO IS ALREADY 3 PLUS. SO PEACEFUL AND SLOW MOVING.\\

GOOD LUCK

Just to offer something, there are some betta species, like b. imbellis that would probably do well in a 12g. A pair, for instance. Or you could try B. coccina. Just read up on these species first, before you commit.

I really like the idea of a small gourami tank, like sparlking gouramis and the like. Up the corys to maybe five and then a pair or trio of the smallish gouramis, and that is a pretty tank. Corys in a group really shine.

Thanks guys i will take a look at the fish been mentioned, i appreicate it, thanks.
