any ibc members?

someone here told me that some IBC breeders will give away wild bettas to people planning on breeding them to keep the species going... does anyone know if this is true or not?.. any other info would help thanks !

It isn't necessarily that you are an IBC member... it's just promotion of wild bettas. Breeders will sometimes do it, as the lady who gave me my falx did. It's part of the mission of the IBC SMP.

so if your going to breed some wild types they give them away for free!! How would you go about doing that?


and how can they prove that youre going to breed them? What if people just lie because they want them?

I think if they have the fish available , they will send them to you, you pay shipping. As for proving they arent lieing I dunno.....

so basically, you join the IBC SMP, you get the bettas, and are to breed them, and record all sorts of info about them..

sounds like it would be neat, but i think im just gonna buy them from this breeder
