Any advice on moray eel dental surgery?

Hi there!
I have a moray eel called Stan. He is a few years old and has a gum infection.
I have had a little poke around in there with a toothbrush but I think further action is required.
Any suggestions on how I should treat Stan?
My best idea is to remove the tooth however my pliers are too big for the job.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have no idea where to find a fish vet, but I would start looking. The surgery is one thing, but the depth of infection could be another.

Thanks to your advice, Stan has gone to a better place for his final round of surgery.
I will keep you updated on his progress.
