Antinic Blue Lighting

At the moment my tank has 2x24w T5 tubes which run for 10hrs a day and i also have a 18w Antinic Blue running 24hrs a day on the advise of my LFS.

Is there any issues with running the blue 24hrs e.g. sleeptime in the tank or increased Algea growth (Hair)?

Personally I only run mine for part of the day and have it going off an hour after my main lights. Mainly just becaus it saves electricity and I think its good to have some totally dark periods in the tank.

if you want light all the time i would turn the 24w tubes off with the normal lights and get some low wattage moonlight. will save you a fair bit in the long run

I have a 24 hour lighting sustem! I run my actinics from 12pm-10pm, i run my daylights from 1pm-9 pm and run my moonlights from 10pm-12pm.

i run my Antinic from 8AM - 8PM and my main light comes on at 9AM - 6Pm and my moonlights are always on
