Well I got a new betta a few days ago, been resting her up and feeding her bloodworms, to the point where she was bubbling over with vibrant colors, a cheerful nature and good looks. Then I made the mistake of putting her bowl beside Pretty's tank and...well, love at first sight. I have never seen the like, Pretty puffing and flaring, Lady Blue striping and bending her head...so I thought "What the heck" and put him in the breeding tank and her in a vace.
Overnight, the mother of all bubblenests was born, so I went ahead and let her out. No nipping, no biting, no attacks and a spawn withen 20 minutes. There are now about 60 eggs in the nest (Took them awhile to figure out what they were doing and there were a lot of unfertilized eggs that got eaten.) And a very proud Pretty is guarding them.
