I tested my water this morning, my ph is about 7.6, Nitrites are 0, Nitrates are high and ammonia is about 1. How do I get nitrates and ammonia down? I've been cycling my tank for 33 days now.

Thanks

Water changes with fresh dechlorinated water will reduce the Nitrate and Ammonia. However, you may continue to get Ammonia readings going forward if your tank is not fully cycled.

The bacteria should take care of the ammonia if the tank is fully cycled. How long after adding are you testing?

Nitrate being the final product can only be effectively removed by water changes (or chemical means) and to a lesser extent by plants. It may also be worth checking your source water for nitrate - it could be quite high if anything like my local London water :/
