I had to move my tank last week as the livingroom ceiling neededto come down.
I have two very nervous clown loaches and the move seems to have stressed them.
When I moved the tank I had to remove about 60% of the water so that I could lift the tank.
I refilled it and everything seemed ok.
I noticed a couple of days later that the two loaches had a little bit of whitespot so I treated the tank with Interpet Anti Whitespot treatment and turned the heater up, 4 days later as per the instructions I added more of the treatment but to be honest there seems to have been very little change and two of my tiger barbs seem to have WS too. The rest of the fish, scissor tails, red honeys and Golden Gourami's seem unaffected.
I have read a few of the topics on here regarding WS and it mentions taking bits of the filter out while using the WS treatment. I have a Rena intermal filter with a foam filter, do i need to remove the filter media in this?
Also what is the optimum temp to heat the water to to get rid of the WS?
