This is the third successful spawn and hatch from my a. thomasi. I count over twenty young juveniles.
On the last spawn I gave 8 juveniles to a middle school class that owned two 125 g tanks and 10 juveniles to my lfs. The kids love the fish but the fish store had a hard time selling these beautiful fish. I’m not certain they will take more. That left me with two juveniles increasing my tank number to 8. That’s pushing it. I don’t want to over stock. I never expected this third spawn to be successful. Rehoming is going to be an issue. I’m getting nervous. Any ideas? You sure I can’t Fed Exp a bunch your wayI don't know why that fish isn't more pooular. I also know a lot of experienced aquarists who struggle to breed them.
They are such cool fish. These are the last four of my brood from the end of last year, 25 went to the LFS and these are off to a new home tomorrow.
