Annual Water Plants?

I am trying to find a way to keep some of my Water Letteuce and Water Hyacinths over the winter or are these plants an annual. Can anyone help me?

Well.. water hyacinths are an african species, small wonder they die over the winter! Can only think to suggest keeping them under a UV light in a greenhouse in a bucket of water or something?
