I came from shopping this afternoon and my little angle was caught up in the filter and I was told laying at her side sometime this afternoon. It's a farily new fish to the aquarium but the conditions and temperature are the same as at the pet store. my only concern is the ammonia is at .5 so I'm planning on changing some of the water right now how much should I change the ph is pretty high but that shouldn't be the problem. The other angel fish is seems alright and happy. So I'm not entirely sure what the problem. ths angel seems to be hanging near the surface alot I currently have her iscolated in the same tank but in a breeding trap as the fish in my first aid aquarium are to agressive and are nipping at her fins. There is a fair amount of oxygen in the tank currently. Please right back with any suggestions. :(

I've just changed about 10% of water in the tank. But the angel fish doesn't look like it is going to make it she seems to be get worse as 5mins pass.

you can do another 10% change to bring down the ammonia. the angel wont take to kindly to being in the breeder. How big is it? They do like lower PH but if that is the normal level in your area they should be OK with that if it is the same as at the LFS. good luck with your angel.

I'll add a bit of water in about a half an hour or so or my fish get super stressed out. The angel fish is about .75 inch pretty young. the other male is the same size I think it might have just been two filter accidents

The filter is regulated for 15gals (it's old 15years but works very well) and the tank currently contants two angels and a pleco and it's a 10gal

No that filter would not suck in a healthy angel. not even a dime size one. as i mentioned before even though they look graceful they are very strong in the water so it would take quite a force to pull in a healthy fish of any kind really.

Sorry, but that tank is not big enough for angels and depending on what kind of plec you have, too small for the plec too most likely.

Hope your angels are ok but you should look to rehome them or get an appropriate sized tank, unless it's temporary.
