Just wondering if four angel fish would fit into my community tank (see signiture for details) if the danios were removed? I can't see a problem with it but someone with more experience might. Would the rams or gouramis cause any issues?

Actually, are there any other reasonably sized cichlids that I could introduce instead of angels? I'm after a few bigger fish to act as centrepoints of interest for the community.

Thanks in advance for the advice! :)

How many gallons is that? The biggest thing to remember with angels is they get about 4" long, but its their HEIGHT you have to worry about. With finage sometimes you might be looking at 10" tall. If your tank would accomidate this they would work. They might even be ok with the danios, depending on how large they are. The neons would be dinner though.

Hi Waterloo

The Angels would fit in nicly. They may eat the neons, but mine have never done that.

If you have the chas, you could get some discus.

Hmmmm, discus. Now THERE's an idea!
Would two discus be enough to keep themselves happy? I believed that they prefer a few more to loosely shoal, or is that just the youngsters?
Could they hold their own against a temper tantrum from a ram or gourami? They do tend to go off on one every now and again! Also, are discus territorial other than during breeding? The rams have themselves spread out over the tank and there isn't much room inbetween for another territory or two!

Impur, the tank is 60cm high (2 feet) so there isn't a problem there. I was thinking of possibly trying to get hold of a few Altums.
