I wouldnt advise it, Ive had aggression in both directions in the past...
Angels really look well in a South American biotope tank, Ive kind of gone off having them in a mixed community tank to say the least so Im biased!

Thanks i have two of them in a 29 gallon community tank with peaceful fish and there fine i was just worried about the gouramis being to aggressive for the angels. i guess ill leave them where they are..

I have some in my 29, 1 male and 1 female paradise gourmi. As well as 1 of my older angel fish. They have never bothered eachother.

Does anyone eles keep angels with gouramis.. i have 2 blue 1 opaline 1 gold 1 giant 1 kissing and one pearl.. (the pearl is already with the angels)

I have Angels with Gold and Opaline Gouramis. I do see my Opaline male occassionally chase the Angels, but he rules the tank and occassionally chases EVERYONE!!!

I don't have true "aggression", so I don't worry about it. Never have had any of them get hurt. :)

As you can see from my sig, i have a dwarf gourami with two angels...he does get a little nippy when the angels come into his plant (which he seems to have staked out as his own), but there is no real aggression... For the most part, the angels will chase him out of their territory just as much as he will chase them out of his...

enjoy!

thanks alot guys ill try it with the angels and if it doesnt work out ill just put the angels back in the 29

Well it didnt work out. The gouramis and angels were constantly fighting so i put the angels back in the 29. Now everybody is happy and healthy again.
