Hi,
I have a 55 gal. tank with 7 Platinum Angelfish and 7 green Cory Cats. 2 angelfish died tonight, the symptoms were clamped fins, inflamed gills,
and swimming in a vertical circle. This is my first time keeping angelfish and I don't know what to do. Here's some pics......

I was also treating one of them for fin rot with melafix but I was very careful and under dosed just a tad so I don't think that was it, fell free to tell me if i was wrong.

Can you please post more about your tank and water parameters? What else is in your tank livestock wise? Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, GH, pH, KH and water temperature. How often you do water changes and do you clean your gravel? What type of filtration do you use and is the tank heated - what temperature?

The symptoms sound like they'd be related to poor water quality so if you can post more info I'm sure we can help narrow things down a bit for you. Sorry for your losses.

Thank you, my Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and Po are all 0. Seeing as how I had just done a water change. My pH is 7.6 and every time I do a water change (which is once a week) I vacuum my gravel. My tank is heated to 78 degrees Fahrenheit. I got 6 of the fish 2 days ago but already had one of them for 6 days before. I also have 7 green Cory Cats in the tank but they have been in there for months. I also use a hob filter with mostly bio media in it.
