Hi all,
I am thinking of getting some fish to add to my tank in a few weeks time.
What fish are good to have with an Angel? I only have one currently.
Pretty/sexy fish prefered

how big is the tank?

need that info before suggesting anything really.

Gouramis are kewl looking fish and ive never heard anyone say they dont get on with angels and i have 2 red honey gouramis and a pair of dwarf neons and there all fine with my angels.

It is roughly 25 litre tank.
Had gouramis before - one passed away unfortunately..
and the other was actually quite vicious to the angel fish so was passed to a friend.
just looking for some ideas really as I don't wanna add something thats going to cause havoc :)

what are the dimensions cos it sounds like the tank is way too small for even the angel neway im afraid.

25 litres is only 7 gallons.

hmm... i can give you measurements ..
its around 60cm wide, 45cm tall and 30cm depth?
im never sure on this, the tank was given to me

Its 20 gallons which is to small for an angel. 1 angel needs at least a 113 liter tank which is about 30 gallons because angels can get up to almost a foot and a half tall in just fins and about 8 inches long which by a 20 gallon is to small and every angel needs at least 10 gallons of water per angel so they can set up territorys. Is the tank filtered and heated? Most likly the reason the angel is small is because its growth has been stunted because by a year they are suppost to be big not small. Try returning the angel to the pet store you got it from and getting 5 to 6 black widow tetras and a few corys, but only after your able to rehome the angel because you can't add any more fish to the tank.

is that 7 gallons though?

if it is i will have to look at what I will get, I really don't want to part with my angel though Im so attached to her.

By the measurements, its about 20 US gallons, bigger than you said earlier but still too small for angels really.

so how many litres does that work out as then for future ref?
dammit i really lovel my angel

I would maybe think about getting a 20-35 gallon and just putting another angelfish in it and some nice cory-cats! Or you could go with some friendly tetras.... Just stay away from neons!!
