My girlfriend wants to use our 10 gallon tank for 2 angel fish. Is this a bad idea? I know they get pretty dang big. Also, if this is acceptable, should we get two males, two females, we don't really want fry... I just don't know anything about angels :dunno: so if anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

10 gal is WAY to small for 2 angelfish!!!

I agree, 10g is probably too small -- especially in height.

Also, it's very difficult to tell the sex of angels, so you generally can't really pick out males or females.

I agree, IMO you need at least 40US and 18" high tank.

I agree that a 10 gallon tank is too small for angels but could I get away with a 33 US gal and it's 18" high. I'm planning on getting an angel too :D

10 gallon NO WAY you could get away with a pair in a 30g with few other fish but they should preferable be housed in larger tanks 40-50 gallons. :)
