I'm not a horrible person!
I just have to many,
i tried spliting genders-didn't work
anyways, i've always loved angel fish
so would getting one or two be good/bad?
i have a 20 and a 10 gallon tank, they would go in the 20 gallon tank
with a few other guppies and a heck of alot of fry for them to munch on
so would it work out or not?
[i heard the height of the tank matters...the dimensions are: H16"W12"L24"
thankyou!

Sounds like a 20 high. One angel would be fine in there, provided you don't have too much substrate. Standard fin angels do better in 20's than veils.

Don't feel bad about feeding guppy fry to angels, I feed angel culls to my oscar.

but surely you'll just have the same problem of it only eating them when very young, sure you know how quick guppy fry grow, unless the angel is fully grown then i don't think that would sort you problem, and if there anything like my LFS has the biggest is the size of a £2 coin, i persnally thin kyou best optoin would be to give the females and fry to LFS or someone else with a tank then your problem is sorted without buying more fish

Angels will eat guppy fry. My angels swallow them whole as soon as they hit the water! I would get the angels small, but not so small they wouldn't be able to fit fry in their mouths. If you get a full-grown angel, he's bound to go after the adult guppies and assault them. :(

there's only about an inch if that of substrate and it's got plenty of room

at my lfs, you can get them just as tiny babies or as full grown adults so i'm going to go for one in between [i don't know what a £2coin looks like...]

I don't mind getting rid of a few adult guppies either...i've got 38 adult/teenager guppies WAY to many....and 21 fry that are like....2day s old

only that they'll eat anything that will fit in there mouth, and will destroy anything with long fins, are you sure there is no one who will take them, seems such a waste after you have spent time raising them to let them be eaten, if you was in the UK then i would of had them

as cruel as it may seem to some, guppy fry makes great angel food and I've often used it as a conditioner prior to spawning for my angels - if you have a few females, any angel 6 months + will go straight for the fry as soon as found in the tank.

i know how its is i had 6 that all gave birth in the same week, was very busy after that, but ended up selling and giving them away, but if you think an angel fish will solve your poblem then go for it, but personally i think its the same situation as with the betta

I've decided not to go for the betta, because i'm going to be getting one or two for my spare 10 gallon tank soon, but not now, and i've always loved angel fish so i think i will go for an angel fish, is there a certain gender or something i should be getting? or does it matter?

Actually I reccomend getting getting a leopard gourami. You won't have any more babies within about 2 weeks. But eventually they will get large enough to eat the adult guppies.
