Good evening people. I bought an angel fish pair and they are currently in a 105 litre tank. I didn’t do my homework as I assumed the water conditions wouldn’t be favourable for them to spawn or if they did the water hardness is at the top end of the scale so I thought they wouldn’t be fertilised. How wrong was I. I now have a couple of hundred fry and the parents are acting like good parents and not eating them. My question to everyone is when would be a good time to move these from tank into a much larger tank ? I will be purchasing a 950 litre tank in a couple of months I’m just hoping that’s enough time. I’m a bit concerned that the pair will breed again. I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. If all of them survive I got my work cut out. It’s only day 14 but they are eating well. I am I only changing water once every 2 days at 20%. I find the daily changes creates more stress but everyone to their own. Nitrates an ammonia thankfully are in check with the every other day water change. So when would you move these little fish into a bigger tank ?
