We have an aqua 120 tank and my mum wanted to know if she could put angle fish in there. Its 120cm wide about 70cam tall and50cm deep, in it we have, 6 dwarf gouramis, 2 algea eaters, 4 sword tails, 3 guppys, i siamese fighter,2 corys, a few lrager tetra cant remember species. I know that the stocking is not perticually good and i did not choose my mum just went out and brought random fish.but i was wondering if an angel would be alright in there or nor, If so are they best in pairs or singually.

Well angels do a little bit better in oairs, but dont depend on it at all though. An angelfish might nip at the guppy and betta's fins too. But you can try it out.

Angels may eat the guppies if you buy adults, and may well bother fighter, I wouldn't do it!

Angels are fine, in fact, subject to the total bioload, you could put 6 or 7 in that tank. It is 116USG. However, anything that will fit in an angels mouth is a snack. They are a chiclid and as such are somewhat aggressive. They should be kept in not less than 3 and more is better.

I had Angel's with a fighter fish once, before I had any Idea that they live in tottally different water conditions.Besides that, the fighter will be extremely uncomfortable. My Angels would attack him every time he went to the surface 4 a bubble. He lived but always stayed hidden in a shell in the bottom of the tank. Not a good idea if u like happy fish

From what I've seen, some angels peck at the fins of bettas, guppies, and neon tetras. And they will hunt and eat smaller fish like guppies and neons.

Yeah, not compatible fish. Even the gouramis may become a problem as bettas and gouramis don't do good with each other. The gouramis will terrorize mostly all those fish, and the betta will terrorize the guppies on top of that. If you wanted angel I would take out all the guppies, all the tetras and the fighter fish.

Hubby has 7 angels in his 6ft community tank, sharing with neons, silvertips, platies, blue tetras, emperors and other small/medium fish. Been in together for many months, not lost one to an angel yet. We even have platy fry :)

I dont want them in there though, but they're his fish in his tank so it's his decision - so far he's proven me wrong.
