Yesterday evening I have just started getting these popping up all over the place? There are a couple right next to the stalk of the toadstool coral I inherrited too?

Note the gatherings bottom left of the stalk.

Am I correct in thinking they're anemonia majanos and are therefore pests?

Any tips on how to get rid of them? Is the soldering iron option a good way to go?

Haven't seen this for a while. Looks like it to me. Read this lInk - it's helpful and a quick read

Best one on there is the aispasia x if you ask me cos it's reef safe to use. :)

Hmmm, may try burning the ones I can get to easily and then order some aispasia x.

Edit - do you think that will be enough?

As long as you get them all!! Makes sure there's definately none left and no pieces of it go back in the water. :good:

Well... what a night of nightmares! I've spent the last 4 and a half hours or more getting every bit of rock out and frying as many as I could see on each bit. I'm praying that I've gotten them all I really don't fancy doing it again :( will be on extremely high alert for at least the next few days.

If I buy some of the treatment is it easy enough to administer when the rock is in the tank? I'm regretting having bought 'pre-owned' live rock now

Lol. never mind!! Well done for getting rid of it so far. It's pretty easy - it comes in a syringe and you inject it into the middle of the anemone. So depends on where it is! As long as you can get the syringe in it'll be easy! :)
Hope you don't get any more!

I've caught site of one more this morning, looks like I nuked it but didn't clear up properly, it was one sat right next to the toadstool coral so I was trying to go easy..... It'll be gone tonight that's for sure!

Well I've cleaned the one up i spotted this morning then found another two... I'm on high alert, they're really making me mad now :-(

The treatment for them is on the way tomorrow so i can have a two pronged approach!

On the plus side I think I may have found something cool....queue new id thread!!
