Fish Crazy
hi theres still some aiptasia anemone on my live rock. what can i get to keep them under control? and what damage do they do in a reef tank? thanks
ok thanks, i have just been looking through this months pfk and its in there. it said that peppermint shrimp might do it and something else called BERGHIA VERRUCICORNIS but i cant find it for sale anywhereIf you are in the US there is a product that will get rid of them. If your in the UK (or anywhere else for that matter, i am in the UK) i havent seen anything to get rid. I think you can smush them. Someone else will be able to help more.
Sorry
ok thanks, how many shrimp do you think i should have in my 350 litre, there are about 5 small aips and i dont want to start pulling the live rock out.if the aips are small then peppermint shrimp will usually work. Berghia Nudibranch's are the be all end all, but for some reason very scarce in the UK. Failing either of those, you can try to inject them with either small amounts of a strong acid, strong base, or sometimes lemon juice works.
ok thanks ski that helps alot, hopefully that will work.3-5 shrimps would probably do well in a tank that big
