Hi, I have a 9G nano i was wondering if you can put a small anemone in it. Any help will be greatly appreciated

No

Adding a Nem to a 9g would be very bad for the animal

Insufficient Water Qty
Powerheads (I am Assuming)
Lighting
Space

same as chac, but personally I would never keep an anenome for the simple reason that they have natural lives of centuries, not years- I don't know if any are suitable for home aquaria but that's what I've heard

Simple answer is no. 9 gallons is not suitable for an anenome.

As stated the answer is generally no, but you could keep beadlet anenomes in a tank that size. They are available on ebay very cheap, although the keeping of these anenomes may be illegal in some countries or counties. Another one which is said to be extremely hardy and able to live in small tanks is the snakelock anenome, but be careful, it inflicts a nasty sting!..

thank you but i have one more question. what would be the smallest tank you would recomend for one.

There are much more important factors than the size of tanks

Powerheads & Nems are a bad recipe, a Nem will simply be minced through it & will pollute your tank & given you a Ammonia spike, Closed Loop Systems are the safest way top house Anemones

In Tank Heaters – Nems have a habit of burning there flesh on heaters

As for tank size IMO I personally wouldn’t add a Nem to any size of tank but… as a minimum I would say around the 50g mark – I have seen sessioned Reefers keep Nems in smaller tanks but these are guys have kept Nems previously & know there limitation & requirements

Stability is key, which a 9g Nano will no give the Nem, One of the harder parts of keeping a Nano is temperature & salinity stability due to evaporation

If you do decide to upgrade the tank size & eventually get a Nem you would be best waiting at the very least 6 months to let your tank start maturing.
