Hi, i went to the LFS today and saw in their main tank a bubble tip anemone.

This is the thing, it had no bubble tips, just long and stringy. Also it was stretched half way across the tank like it had a long tree trunk.

Don't get me wrong but this doesn't look good ey? Opinions?

the anemone, was probably fine. Often when it extends it is just activly looking for food. AS for the lack of bubble tips, often in captivity these anemones will not display bubble tips at all. No one knows why, they just dont. hope that helps. BTW avoid buying an anemone, they will just cause heartache. They have very low success rates in captivity unless you have extrondonary lighting and take care of your system regularly. It has also been theoryized that they do better in systems that dont use ultra pure RO water for the sea water, something about having lots of trace elements and such.
