Need some advice on Ancistrus as this is my first time having them. I got 2 of them a couple off days ago and 1 off them kept coming out of hiding and the other 1 only came out of hiding last night.

all i know about them is that the grow to 4" to 5"

What size are they at the moment? Their size will determin if we are able to tell their gender.

In general they are nocturnal, they will rarely come up to the front of the glass in the daytime, where as at night they will come out and explore.

they are about 5cm there tail tips are still white
