Yeh thanks mate :) just another question i have a female

Light brwn base colour with darker spots she was suppose to be a long finn bristlenose but shes different colours any ideas

I would get a pic but i dont seem able to upload mine are always to beig even with my my 1mp camera

It is not an Ancistrus, this is a common pleco, Pterygoplichthys pardalis.

Most BN's you buy are the same species, so it should breed fine.
My parents longfin's have just started breeding and got their first fry at the weekend.
 
Except it isn't a bristlenose.

I'd be having serious words with whoever sold it as one!

I took ur advise n had a word with swallow aquatics in essex they said to me its not our problem i should have known what it was even tho they told me it was an ancestrus GOD it angers me :(
 
Hi i unfort found out after taking it to my lfs in kesgrave that it was a leoperd print comon plec the biggest one of the commons so considering id have no room for it gave it to them :( it ket attackin my other fish :( i just wont to find a long finned bristle nose anyone no anywhere

Oh yeh to your question on tank size 3ft long by 1ft by 1ft
 
My parents long finned bristle nose has just breed for the first time, but you can find them quite easily for around £15 for 2" fish.
