I added 4 Otos yesterday and have just discovered one has since lost an eye!

Searching previous posts it seems that I should add some Melafix, so I'm going to the lfs now to get some.

Anything else I should do?

Any ideas of how this can happen (in general, not this particular case)? e.g. Can it be the first symptom of a disease, could he have just knocked it out, could the ZDs have been harassing it?

Health appears otherwise okay, it's still munching on the algae and moving around.

non mutch you can do at all realy .itl be ok as it doesnt lose the other . i have seen it before and it should bother it .ghost knife fish eat eyes uot of catfish quite often not saying allways by any means but have seen it happen

thanks...i shall just keep my eye on it then (no pun intended!)

i have added stress coat as the lfs didn't have melafix. hopefully it does the same job.

I have 2 molly fry that only have one eye each. It wasn't through popeye (that I could see).....I just believe that something took a nibble/nip.........

........as the Synos I have are territorial I wonder if it was one of those.......(although with a downward facing mouth I am not sure how they could have done it).....

...but they are fine.....I think........ :S
