Does anyone know what i can use for dividing a portion of my tank for fry, pregnant fish. There are some on the market that are clear plastic sheets and have a rubber around the endges and holes all over the sheet. Can i use something from home that will do the job like this?? i guess it doesn't have to have holes i dunno..

tia!

Large lunchbox with bottom cut out and some sort of grid small enough that the parent cant get through. siliconed to the box.
I used to make my own breeding traps. The whole length of the tank. Two pieces of perspex (to length) and two small blocks of perspex cut in a "W"n shape and siliconed around 6" below the waterline in the middle of each end pane. The two large perspex pieces fit snuggly into the "W" channels and left a small gap (they did not touch) This gap let the fry fall straight through into the birthing tank and also the female was not stressed as they can be in the small commercial breeding traps sold in stores today.
I hope you were able to understand my discription.

Craft or art shop... they sell plastic board for embroidery or something like that... White plastic covered in holes !

my fry are in a small net breeder box type thing atm, but i want to take them out asap into a larger area. i will look into the crafts store, but i'm wondering what will hold it in place and secure the sides alll around.

Depends how neat you want it... breeding tank - I would just silicon it into place... if you like "neat" or want it removable, then get a pair of folder slides from a stationers (Also sold in many craft stores!) and glue those to the sides of the tank - then you can slide the divider in/out.

These are sold to slide into the edge of a few sheets of paper - to make a presentation etc :
Something like this !
This one has a rounded back, but you can get triangular ones with a flat surface to glue.

well my point wasn't to go ut and buy something to make this LOL
if that is the case i'd rather just buy one already made.
