Amquel

My Amquel has a bad odor, I didn't really notice the smell of it when I first got it and I've only had it a few months. Once I add it to water, the smell is gone and the water doesn't smell bad. Is it possible that its expired? Or is it supposed to be like that?

It's actually supposed to smell like that, my bottle mentions the odor on the back label.
