Ammonia in my new 10gal tested 1.0 this morning (aquarium pharmaceuticals test).
All fish (1 cory, 5 zebra danios) eating great and "playing" hard.

Please re-assure me. As long as the fish seem healthy I let the ammonia keep rising and rising. Right... No water changes yet.

I realize fish count is a bit high for cycling...

How long have you been cycling? Keep a close eye on the fish, if they begin gasping for air or swimming oddly, do a 20% WC. Otherwise, I would think you are at the peak of the ammonia cycle.

Under no circumstances let the ammonia rise. Ammonia kills more fish than any other chemical in the water. What you can do in an emergency and you don't want to do an immediate water change is use, ammo-lock2. This solution does not get rid of ammonia, but neutrilizes it until your plants or cycling can get to work on it.
