Ammonia Poisioning?

So I have had 2 corys die within 2 days. They would kinda clap their fins together and swim in circles, sometimes upside down. I don't know what else it could be. What do you guys think? I did a 45g water change (my tank is a 55g). The water was the same temp when I put it in.

Have you a test kit to determine the level of ammonia? If not then your LFS can probably test your water for you. If it's a new tank then this is very likely to be a problem, if it's fully cycled then it's still a possibility.

I ran out of ammonia testing stuff. I can see what he says. It has been up and running for almost 2 years

I guess that means an ammonia spike is less likely, but def worth checking before you spend money looking into other fixes!
