Ammonia concentration

Ive got this product which is clear ammonia, doesnt foam when shook. Its a 2 litre bottle and doesnt really give me a % of ammonia concentration. It says 40g/L ?? Does any1 know what concentration this is? its not that important but it would be good to know...

Sniff it... if afterwards you feel like you just died, got buried, left for three million years then dug up and hit over the head with a mallet... its probably pretty strong

thx for the replies, and yes i do have an ammonia test...
im going to cycle my first tank soon, just want to know how much ammonia to add thats all...

Just add the ammonia to the tank gradually until you get a reading of about 5 ppm. Note this amount and add the same amount every day until your nitrites spike then half the dose. What size of tank are you looking to cycle caterpillar5?

its 61x30x36 or something like that

I think thats about 15 gals. so you would probably need around one capful of ammonia to get up to 5 ppm. thats a rough guess but i used 2 capfuls daily for a 29 gal and that kept the reading around 5ppm. HTH
