Aww thanks you two. Yeah it is a Syrian, but I believe it's male, i'm not positive though. I know his name looks like Amy lol, but it's just Hammy without the H. Orignal huh?

You have a lovely hamster there. I have to say, at that size it's really not difficult to sex them I could usually sex "my" babies from around 10days old.
My guess is that it's actually a female you have there - the tail end tends to be longer and more pronounced wtih males, though I honestly can't be sure without actaully seeing yours myself.

A good hold from the backend should tell you everything you need to know. If the backend is large and lumpy, it's a boy.

A more conclusive way, though, is to look underneath. If the two holes are quite close together, it's a girl. If they are far apart (1 cm or more) it's a boy.

Oh sorry I just noticed I forgot to answer your question from earlier. Her coloring is light brown covering her whole back and head and her tummy is completely white down her legs and all.

Most likely a golden syrian..or maybe a light cinnamon. So cute. I had a male hamster that looked just like yours. I third the nomination?

Seriously, it just looked like a girl bum more than a boy bum. I could have been wrong (all I have is Dwarf Hamsters), but I had a sneaking suspicion that it was a girl bum.
