I am considering adding three american Puffers to my 36-12-15 tank, I have the following fish:

2 Golden Barbs
4 Rummy Nose
5 Neons
2 Albino Algea Eaters
2 peppered cory
3 Lampeyes

Before I go ahaid I'm getting my water levels perfect, but would they be OK? or would there be a better alternative? :/

Puffers will fin nip, chances are you saw a xouth american puffer clomensus annealius SP they grow to about 3 inches (as I recall) and there teeth grow like mad

...colomesus asellus?

the idea of putting an asellus in a community tank has both proponents and opponents. the long and short of it is don't put any puffer with something would be upset to lose. you could get lucky and find a flake-eater. or not.

i definitely would NOT add three of them. too much crowding and too much temptation for a biter. one might do ok since it looks like most of those fish are pretty fast and i know my puffer just beds down once it gets dark.

oh, you have cory cats. most people who've kept corys and puffers say that the puffer makes a special effort to kill corys.

the expert opinion

It was well said by pica_nuttalli, do not put them in with anything that you would mind losing. There's a good chance that ot will totally destroy your tank, none of the puffers are community fish. And whatever you do, like was said, do not get 3 of them.
I vote NO on this subject. ;)

Ok cheers I wont, cheers for the advice.

What would be a good addition to my tank? something that would enhance my community but is a little different!!! nothing snakelike though!!
