hi, am i right in saying these plants put out runners to create new plants? if so how far do the runners go before a new plants comes up? and do they do this often?? thanks.

my amazon sword has propagated by both runners and seperation into 2 different plants at the rosette,the runners will go to the area with the most light usually, how often they do it depends on lighting conditions and nutrients, basically how fast they are growing, if they are growing slow your not gonna get a lot of plantlets, if they are growing faster they will come around more often.

it should start to put out plantlets now becuase it was only putting out 1 new leaf a week but now i have my new light it puts out about one per day and i use a liquid fertilliser, root tabs and co2 capsules. thanks for the reply
