I put an Amazon sword in a few weeks back, when I still had a turtle in the tank, and of course he nipped the plant down to the root nub. My question, it will it grow back? Or should I just suck it up and replace it with a new sword? (The turtle has since been rehomed due to his destruction of my zen zone ?)

not that they are necessary but 1st pic is when I first put it in, 2nd is what it looks like today.

It should as it looks like there is some green left. How big is the bulb?

I’d say about nickel-quarter size. There were still some 1.5-2” roots coming from it. I have a root tab (or two?) under it, and just added some seachem fluorite black sand the other day.

It should come back just fine. Most amazon swords have to completely melt off and be regrow anyway since they are usually grown only partially in water, not fully.
