I heard that Amazon Swords are hardy and can live in low light levels, but is 40 watts (2 20 watt bulbs) enough light in a 55 gallon? I put them in today, I'm trying to figure out if I should expect them to die, or perhaps buy more, because they look really good. Also, what are some other low light plants that WOULD work for me?

They will survive.Try to give them a nice rich substrate or tabs for them to feed off, as they are heavy root feeders.Crypts, anubia, and java fern may work aswell.
