I have 2 female amano shrimps. They have both been holding eggs/babies underneath them for months. One of the females has been holding longer, and there is a dark grey mass of babies? Is it likely that they have hatched? When will she let them go?

Here is the best pic I could get!

Any ideas?

Yes they will hatch but, you wont be able to see them.. they are larvas and they need saltwater.. many tried some failed some succeeded

The eggs take up to a month to hatch, so your shrimp will have had a few batches of eggs. When they have lots to eat they carry eggs most of the time.
