depends if they are fertilized. Mine have been having them for a couple of months. I doubt that they are fertile even though there are a ton of other shrimp in there.
I read somewhere that 'real' Amano shrimps do not breed successful in freshwater aquariums since the newborn larva will need marine environment to develop into mini shrimplets before they are transferred back to freshwater environment. Apparently, the females carry the eggs for about 5 weeks.
Cheers for that everyone At least I know that the eggs on my shrimp will eventually go, I was getting worried that they would be there forever cos someone told me that they only carry eggs for about 2 weeks. I do realise that they won't hatch. but they are such characters to watch I didn't want to loose them.
