Amano Or Cherry ?

for a planted aquarium which eats the wider range of algae?
amano shrimp or the cherry shrimp?. if so what do each eat. and can they be kept together?

IME they eat the same, just Amanos get bigger so can take more heavy duty bits of algae.

They can be kept together, yes. Cherry shrimp are cheaper too and breed like crazy, so you can potentially have a massive army of algae eating shrimp. This would be very expensive to achieve by buying Amano shrimp.

I would get a few of each for maximum effect .

what fish will keep the numbers of cherrys down? (besides betta)
