Wow, that's crazy small.

I have a bowl that size that I keep a "pet" snail in. We found it when we brought home some plants and I didn't want my tank to overflow with snails so I stuck it in the little vase. He seems happy (if snails can possibly have emotions). Just cruises around all day. My cat does drink the water. lol

i was thinking the same thing. we all know they are out there. get's everyone's hairs raised. we all KNOW how poor they are. no real need to keep bringing it up over and over again.

Not really, it will be one of two things:

A link to youtube showing betta cruelty or a picture of some unsuitable betta bowl, then everyone gets wound up, and there are hundreds of these threads already clogging the forum.
