Am I Ready?

HI all,

I have been fishless cycling now for 26 days (as some of you may know).

Am processing about 4.0ppm of Ammonia within 12 hours

Nitrites processing within 24HOURS for the past 2 days.

Am i ready for fish, only i thought i had to process BOTH within 12 HOURS but, after reading other threads some are saying Nitrites within 24 hours???

Dont want to rush it but, the weekend is approaching

Here's the quote directly from RDD's article:

"Once the bacteria are able to process 4 or 5 ppm of ammonia back to zero ammonia and nitrite in about 10 to 12 hours. You are officially cycled."

If nitrites are taking 24 hours, your N-bac population isn't quite big enough yet.

It is ideal to observe it doing this (dropping both within 10-12 hours) for several days to a week, given how many surprises this process can give you.
