I have two tin foil barbs (the Hogs). They have been together since about 1/2" long. Now they are in a 75gl tank and about 14" long. They have really outgrown the tank, and I would like to switch to a more community tank. I have a cousin that has a pre-fab pond in her backyard (168gl) with a heater, one large goldfish and a pleco. She is located in Savannah, GA which has a very mild winter. She has offered to take the Hogs. Is this a good idea? I have had these fish for years, and would hate to see anything happen to them at this point. Suggestions?
