hi

are these what i think they are eggs??, this is the only section i could upload a picture, so i could show what i see instead of describing it, only discovered them when cleaning out the tank, dont even no what type of fish it is, but im thinking thats the daddy or mummy with eggs, i got bout million question if they are eggs, what do i do and stuff, how can i protect them from bigger fish they are in a tank with chiclids, when will the be born, what type of fish is it help someone

They certainly look like eggs to me! Is that a type of pleco there with them? Are you sure that is what laid them? Because as far as I know, plecos breeding in aquariums is very rare. What else is in the tank with them? And how big would you say they are?

im tending to think hes a brittlenose catfish but ive accually got no idea but would fit the profile i looked up, the other fish are all mouth brooders, the blue acara is my main worry, cant be it theres only one of them which leaves only him (thats if its a brittle nose males suppose to gaurd the eggs) but still looking through profiles man i should have paid more attention to his name when i bought him . the other fish in the tank are big say bout 8 cm plus so im not sure as of yet what to do, thinking of buying something to cut the tank up so only the algae eater and the little eggs are in that 1/4 of the tank

um what would i feed em?? will they eat algae stright up??

pleco's normaly lay there eggs in muggy waters were it can make a hole in the side lay the eggs

But might be very lucky the mouth breeders will eat them when they find them.

breeding is so rare that I would remove all the fish and only leave the brittlenose catfish there and see what happens

Good luck

id just keep an eye on them.. if you see theyre gone and u see fry.. try to net em up quick.. could be the catfish's eggs..
