The 40g shelldweller tank is no more. When my adult male Neolamprologus similis died, the hope of having a breeding colony died as well. The remaining members of the family got to live out their lives in the 40g but they have since died.
I have drained the tank and am ready to move on.

My plan:
Heavily planted and wooded scape with injected co2. Perhaps a carpet of some kind. Not sure of stocking choices yet. That comes later.

Equipment:
Fluval plant 3.0 light
Fluval 207 canister filter
Co2 art co2 injection kit.
Inline heater and diffuser. The only thing that will be in the tank is the filter intake. That will be easy to hide.

What I have so far:

Don't mind the dirty glass.
Congo wood branches with black Dimond blasting sand substrate.
Gonna have to position some rocks in here to hide the base of the wood piece on the left.

More to come.
