I'm trying really hard to act normal
I got a lyrtail molly a few weeks ago to go in with my platys, and she was pregnant. She was fine until she had the "kids" (none of them survived ), and then a few days later she started ramming my other fish into the side of the aquarium. I know I read on this board before that if you get a male, he'll keep her happy. So I just got back from the lfs, and got a male and female molly. It really helped!! The male keeps rubbing up against the old molly...so is this courting behavior? If so, can lyretail mollies mate successfully with regular mollies?
Also, with my platies, I could never get the platy in the breeder at the right time. It was either too late, and the babies were eaten, or too earlier and she aborted from stress. What behavior should I look for with the mollies in case the do succesfully mate?
Sorry for being to chatty...lol
