Almost went blind today

I saw the greatest thing in the world today. I'm on vacation in Vegas and went to the lfs here. Last thing I looked at were the male bettas because I was trying to stay away from them

I go over and see the VTs and I'm like "eh... figures" and then I look down... row after row after row of crowntails. I almost threw up. I've seen one crowntail in real life before so this was like betta overload. Then I look below that and see plakats. Black and red butterfly plakats... halfmoon plakats... half giant plakats. I stumble back into the filters with a tear in my eye.

Then I go to the counter with the person I was there with pouting because I can't have any and my eyes creep over to more bettas on the counter. HMs! H freaking Ms!!!! Pure cellophane!!! Blue and white marbled!!!! And the most beautiful extended red double tail I've ever seen ever!!!! Then I look in this extremely long divided tank which has the betta prices and see this red, white and blue marbled plakat flaring up a storm and I fight the tears. $5.99 crowntails. Any color you wanted you could have. $10 HM.

I ask the girl where they get their bettas and she's like, "local breeders from the Vegas division of IBC" and points to the sign to join the club. BAH!

So I called the airport, I can't take fish as cargo... so I'm going to see if I can get my online connections to overnight me some

Where I work we have TONNES of bettas... but theyre all VT... so theyre nothing to really look at...

Man I can almost imagine what you saw... im jealous!

Supposedly my dad has a business trip to Vegas coming up and the whole family can go... I would SO ship bettas to myself from there

ok, instead of calling sould I email her and explain the situation to her and ask if they might ship me what I was looking for? I'm a bit confused as how to go about this most efficiently to get answers smoothly and quickly. (and not sounding stupid or inconsiderate in any way, with is a challenge.)

ok, so, yeah, well, I haven't told my parents about this yet, I suspect tonight we're gonna have a big fight about the rabbit and if I dare I will mention fish. Ugh, this is so depressing, I have to have their permission before I do anything about animals, very strict about the animals in the house.
