Hello, my name is Jen and I just happened to come across this forum while doing some research for my sister. I only keep oscars but she wanted a fish tank so I was helping her decide which fish to put in her tank. Lots of useful information on the site!
I have one tank, a 200 gallon custom built, with one 14 inch tiger/common oscar mix and one ~ 10 inch pleco. I used to have a lutino that was 12 inches but she died from what I suppose was old age. There was no sign of disease, injury, or illness and she was about 11 years old. The oscar I have left is almost 6 years old.
I am married with two children, and besides the fish I also have a border collie, a cat, and two budgies. I look forward to making new online friends, and who knows, I might even learn something reading all this information!
