what is the best way to remove algea from a planted aquarium with inverts? i use a toothbrush but the next day almost all of the algea is back already

anyone have any tips?

I had a problem with algae too, it was all over the place. I was restocking my tank, and i added 4 platies. They finished all the algae in a few days! I was quite amazed. I hear otos are good algae eaters too.

As for inverts, well i have a lot of ghost shrimp, but they dont even bother the algae :<

P.T.

i read that when otos grow up they stop eating algea and become aggressive and a pleco would get to big are there any chemicals that would not harm the plants? my platies don't eat the algea
